Remembering Peter

There’s too much to say about Peter, to know him was to love him. His distinguishing voice and laugh is one of the many aspects of his being that friends and loved ones are sharing in their stories of him.
Peter Eckersley passed away, suddenly and unexpectedly, at 8:42pm on Friday, September 2. He was surrounded by loved ones in the hospital, gathered nearby in the park just outside, and around the world. His family is briefly in San Francisco, where his first memorial is taking place and being livestreamed.
In alignment with his last wishes, Eckersley's brain is cryopreserved. Many people worked quickly to make this dream possible, including his family Nicole Eckersley, Greg Eckersley and Michele Harris, Elizabeth MacKick, Todd Huffman, Katja Grace, Jolene Elizabeth, Laura Vaughan, Jolene Elizabeth, Andrew Critch, Daniel Ford, Sydney Von Arx, Jeffrey Ladish, James McCaw, Anna Schoo, and more.
The world was a better place because of Peter. In light of all his professional accomplishments, he is most remembered in community for his open and loving heart.
